Trial LDA
At Morales & Morales, we have developed what we refer to as a “Trial LDA” approach—a specialized form of Legal Document Assistant service focused on supporting self-represented individuals who are navigating active litigation, including matters approaching hearing or trial.
This is not a separate legal designation, but rather a refined service model built strictly within the scope of California Legal Document Assistant law, including California Business and Professions Code §6400 et seq. We fully adhere to all Unauthorized Practice of Law (UPL) restrictions, and our role remains limited to providing document preparation and procedural support at the client’s direction.
Through this approach, Morales & Morales assists clients with the preparation and organization of litigation-related materials, which may include pleadings, declarations, exhibit packets, subpoenas, and trial-ready document sets. We also help ensure that documents are properly formatted in compliance with applicable California Rules of Court and local filing requirements.
Importantly, we do not provide legal advice, develop legal strategy, or represent clients in court. All decisions regarding case direction, legal arguments, and filings are made solely by the client.
Our “Trial LDA” model is designed to bridge a practical gap for self-represented litigants—offering structured, high-quality document support during the most demanding stages of a case, while remaining fully compliant with California law.
Trial Litigation Support
At Morales & Morales, we recognized a gap that many self-represented litigants face: they often need significant help navigating the procedural and administrative demands of litigation, yet cannot afford or do not require full attorney representation. To address that need, we developed our Trial-LDA support model—a litigation support approach designed specifically for self-represented individuals who need assistance preparing, organizing, and managing their cases.
While the term "Trial-LDA" is not a formal legal designation, it reflects our commitment to providing comprehensive litigation support services while remaining fully compliant with California Legal Document Assistant regulations and Unauthorized Practice of Law (UPL) restrictions. We do not provide legal advice, legal opinions, case strategy, or courtroom representation. Instead, we focus on the critical procedural, organizational, and document preparation tasks that help clients navigate the litigation process with greater confidence and efficiency.
How We Can Help
Supporting Self-Represented Litigants
Many individuals find themselves navigating the court system without a clear understanding of the procedures, deadlines, and paperwork required to move their case forward. Our Trial-LDA support services are designed to bridge that gap by helping clients stay organized, informed, and prepared throughout the litigation process.
While we cannot tell clients what decisions they should make, what claims they should pursue, or how a judge may rule, we can help ensure that their documents are properly prepared, their filings are organized, and their case materials are ready when they need them most.
Our goal is simple: provide professional, organized, and dependable litigation support that helps self-represented litigants navigate complex legal processes with greater clarity and confidence.
